Child killed in Mims house fire

MIMS, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - The Brevard County Sheriff's Office says a child died in house fire in Mims early Friday morning.

Deputies say they believe the child was a 6-year-old girl.

Officials say two adults were rushed to the hospital with burns, but both have been released.

The fire happened at a home on Brockett Road at around 12:15 a.m.

Investigators say six or seven people, including several children, were inside the home at the time.

The fire marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
