DAVENPORT, Fla. - A man was arrested after he reportedly stabbed a woman to death at an Osceola County residence over the weekend, authorities said.
What we know: Shortly before 3 a.m. on Sunday, law enforcement responded to 462 Bogey Drive in Davenport, Florida, after a 12-year-old girl called 911 to report that her mother had been stabbed.
The victim, later identified as Enese Pierre, was discovered dead in a bedroom on the second floor of the townhome. She had been stabbed in the neck, according to an arrest warrant.
What we don't know: Investigators are working to learn a motive for the deadly stabbing.
The girl reported that her mother came home around 1:40 a.m. and told her goodnight. Some time later, she reported hearing her mom yell, "Help! He is trying to kill me", the warrant stated. She went to the room and found her mother injured and bleeding. Her mom told her to call 911.
The child left the room and returned and saw the suspect, who she identified as her stepdad, get up from the bed and grab a knife. She heard him say, "no one messes with me," officials said.

Pierre's friend, who was also at the home when the stabbing occurred, told investigators that she heard yelling. When she neared the doorway of the master bedroom, she saw Pierre on the bed covered in blood. When she tried to enter the room, she reported the suspect pushed her back and told her no.
What do we know about the suspect?
The Osceola County Sheriff's Office identified the suspect as Makinson Devalcin, 45.
When deputies arrived at the home, they found him unconscious near the bedroom with a laceration to his neck.
Pierre's friend and the child both reported that he had no injuries when they encountered him.
Devalcin was taken to a local hospital for treatment for injuries and was later arrested on a charge of premeditated first-degree murder, according to deputies.
