Cat recovering after being shot 13 times with BB gun

MELBOURNE, Fla. (FOX 35 ORLANDO) - A cat that was shot 13 times with a BB gun is on the road to recovery.

Melbourne police are now looking for the person who used the cat for target practice.

In the meantime, the feline - named BB after the incident - is in the care of Hope for Brevard.

Once she's fully recovered, volunteers say she'll go to a new, loving home.

Anyone with information about who may have shot BB is asked to call Melbourne police.
