Body discovered during search for missing man in St. Cloud: police

ST. CLOUD, Fla. - A body was found during a search for a missing man in Osceola County on Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.

The St. Cloud Police Department said its officers were looking for Romulo Gernandizo, who was last seen on Monday leaving a local hospital, when they discovered the body of another man believed to be in his 30s.

The body was located near the woods south of 17th Street along Budinger Avenue, police said. Authorities are working with the Medical Examiner's Office to determine his cause of death. His identity was not immediately released.

The search continues for Gernandizo. Anyone with information about his location is asked to call police at (407) 891-6700.
