Arrests made in Cocoa elementary school burglary

Two of three suspects have been arrested for a weekend burglary and criminal mischief at Endeavour Elementary School in Cocoa. A third suspect has been identified and is still being sought.

After video of the suspects was posted on the Cocoa Police Department’s Facebook, multiple tips came in identifying the three responsible. Information also began to spread at the school.  Police later arrested two 12-year olds in the case.

On February 4, officers responded to Endeavour Elementary School after an employee called to report a burglary. When officers arrived they discovered that multiple classrooms had been entered and vandalized. Several laptop computers and iPads were stolen. The items taken were valued at more than $7,000.

All three suspects face felony charges of burglary of an unoccupied structure, grand theft, felony criminal mischief, preventing or obstructing extinguishment of fire, and trespass on school property.
