An arrest has been made in a deadly crash that left a toddler dead and seriously injured her parents.

Shona Lynn Wallace, 48, was arrested and charged with one count of DUI manslaughter, two counts of DUI with serious bodily injury, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with a crash that occurred in June, that claimed the life of 18-month-old Adalyn Zisa.

The toddler's father, Dane Zisa, remains in critical condition and is unresponsive, weeks after the crash, according to family.  The mother, Shannon Zisa, has since been released from the hospital, but she remains in a wheelchair.

In the early evening of June 2,  Altamonte Springs police officers responded to the intersection of State Road 414 and Eden Park Road.  An investigation revealed that Wallace traveled onto the sidewalk, striking the family of three, who were on a bicycle ride. Wallace was not able to provide any information or reason as to why her vehicle veered off the road and onto the sidewalk, according to police.

Through the course of the investigation, traffic homicide detectives reconstructed the scene, spoke with several witnesses and obtained a blood sample from Wallace.

"The results from the toxicology report revealed that on the night of the incident, Wallace was under the influence of Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), Cocaine, Fentanyl, and Nordiazepam," said Evelyn Estevez, a spokesperson for the Altamonte Springs Police Department.

Wallace was taken into custody and transported to the Seminole County Jail, where she remains incarcerated on a no bond status.
