Apartment fire breaks out in Orange County, building deemed a total loss: officials
ORLANDO, Fla. - An Orange County apartment building was engulfed in flames Monday morning.
Orange County Fire Rescue responded to the 2-story complex, along Americana Boulevard near Rio Grande Avenue, just before 5 a.m. after receiving a 911 call reporting the fire and smoke, the fire department shared on X (formerly Twitter.)
All residents evacuated the building before crews arrived and there were no injuries reported, officials said.
While the fire is out, crews are still at the scene monitoring hot spots. The state fire marshal is investigating the cause of the blaze.
The building has been deemed a total loss. More than a dozen units have been displaced, according to the Orange County Fire Chief.
