8 arrested in sex sting at Volusia County park
VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office says they have arrested eight men for exposing themselves to an undercover deputy sheriff.
The operation was the result of complaints received about individuals openly engaging in sex acts in the Doris Leeper Spruce Creek Preserve and Sleepy Hollow Park, both situated between the cities of Port Orange and New Smyrna Beach off U.S. Highway 1.
In June 2018, still cameras were placed in the park that took hundreds of photos of people engaging in various sex acts, deputies say. According to the Sheriff's Office, at least 50-75 people engaged in lewd and lascivious acts directly in front of the cameras.
