Orlando firefighters responded to a massive fire late Friday night at the Crossroads Court Apartments off L.B. McLeod Road.

At least 30 people were displaced by the fire, many of them were families with young children.

Eight apartment units sustained damage in the 12-unit building.

The Red Cross and officers from Orlando police arrived early Saturday morning to help out.

Police officers provided blankets to families in need.

The Red Cross is now helping those families look for a place to stay, just a few days away from Thanksgiving.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
