A 3-year-old boy with autism who was reported missing from an Orlando resort is deceased, the Orange County Sheriff's Office said in a post on X.

"It is with heavy hearts that we must share that our deputies have found Rakim Akbari deceased in a body of water at the resort where he was reported missing this morning. Our detectives are still looking into how this tragedy occurred," the post read. "We are grieving his loss, and our prayers are with his family."

3-year-old has gone missing from an Orlando resort

Rakim "Tuda" Akbari, wandered away from a resort in the 8800 block of Palm Village Circle near State Road 535 and World Center Drive.

The sheriff's office did not immediately release details on where the boy's body was located.
