3 shot in Daytona Beach, police say

Police are investigating a shooting that left three people hurt in Daytona Beach late Thursday night. The victims took themselves to the Halifax hospital for treatment. FOX 35 News is working to learn the extent of their injuries. Officials said the shooting happened at the intersection of Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune and Adams Street.

Police are investigating a shooting that left three people hurt in Daytona Beach late Thursday night.

Shortly before 10:45 p.m., officers were called out to the Halifax Health Medical Center after the victims – a 17-year-old boy and two men, ages 35 and 24 – walked into the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds. They had non-life-threatening injuries. 

Authorities said the shooting happened at the intersection of Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Boulevard and Adams Street. FOX 35 News cameras saw at least 15 to 17 evidence markers on the ground at the shooting scene. 

Details regarding a potential suspect or motive were not immediately released, but investigators said they do not believe there is any danger to the community. 

Officers are in the early stages of their investigation and are following up on all leads.
