3 hurt in chlorine leak at Orange County park, police say

ORLANDO, Fla. - Three people were injured in a chlorine leak at Newton Park in Winter Garden Wednesday morning, according to police.

Around 9:20 a.m., officials said two city employees and a contractor were working on a remodeling project when one of the workers stepped on a pipe leading to a chlorine pipe at the site.  

The workers were taken to a hospital to be treated for minor chlorine burns, police said. 

The leak has since been capped.
