3 arrested in Kissimmee murder
OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. (FOX 35 Orlando) - Osceola County deputies have arrested three men in connection with a murder in Kissimmee.
Deputies on Friday held a news conference to announce that Davenport residents Anthony Ruiz, 22, Jacob Elliott Lopez, 20, and Armani Hugo Matos, 21, had been taken into custody and charged with first-degree murder, kidnapping and robbery with a firearm in the death of Darik Febus.
Febus, 57, was fatally shot on February 26 at his home in the Hammock Trails subdivision. Investigators said Febus was an innocent bystander as all three suspects were participating in illegal drug activity in front of his home.
Deputies believe the incident is a random act of violence and they are not searching for any other suspects in the case.
