23 arrested in Osceola County ID theft ring

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - Check your credit card statements because Osceola County deputies have arrested 23 people in a big ID theft ring.

They sya that nearly 400 people were victimized in Osceola County and across the country. Deputies say that the suspects steal that information through skimmers or buy it from other crime groups. They then use it to purchase diesel.

Deputies have sent us photos of cars they have stopped with illegal, hidden gas tanks used to move the fuel around before selling it on the black market.

Deputies say they are working with federal authorities to put more people behind bars.
