2025 New Year's Babies: Meet the first Florida babies born in the new year

While the world ushered in 2025 with a midnight kiss and a champagne toast, hospitals nationwide proudly welcomed the first babies of the year. 

Take a look at some of the New Year’s babies born in Florida hospitals below:

At the stroke of midnight, Travis Michael Morgan, the son of Ashley and Allen Morgan of Leesburg, became the first baby of 2025 born at AdventHealth Waterman in Tavares. He weighed 7 pounds, 9 ounces, and measured 20 inches at birth.

Derek, the son of Davina Nguyen and Erik Kim, was the first baby of 2025 born at Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies. He made his grand entrance at 1:20 a.m., weighing 7 pounds, 9 ounces and measuring 19.25 inches long.

At 2:29 a.m., Jeeno was born at AdventHealth Tampa to his thrilled parents. He weighed 7 pounds, 5 ounces, and was 20 inches long.

"Welcoming a new life is always a reason to celebrate, and Baby Jeeno’s arrival as the first baby of 2025 marks a special milestone for this family and our care team," Dr. Doug Ross, Chief Medical Officer of AdventHealth Tampa, said in a statement, "The New Year is a time for hope and new beginnings, and we are honored to be part of this joyous occasion."

Holly made her debut at 7:52 a.m., becoming the first baby born in 2025 at AdventHealth Ocala. She weighs 7 pounds, 11 ounces and measures 20.5 inches long. 

"Baby Holly’s arrival is a true blessing for her family and for our team, who are honored to provide care during such a meaningful time,"  Dr. Rodrigo Torres, chief medical officer of AdventHealth Ocala, said in a statement. "It’s a wonderful way to start the year."

Betty-Rose Freeman made her entrance into the world at 12:24 a.m. at Viera Hospital, becoming the first baby born in 2025 in Brevard County. She is the first child of her parents, Richard and Anjelica, and is named after her great-grandmother. 

She arrived weighing 7 pounds, 11 ounces, and measuring 19.75 inches.

Kairo was born at 2:54 a.m. to his proud mother, Kristal of Orlando, at UCF Lake Nona Hospital. He arrived weighing 8 pounds and measuring 21 inches long.

A few hours later, the team at UCF Lake Nona Hospital helped welcome Gael at 5:26 a.m. to his loving mother, Sandra, of Orlando.

Gael was born weighing 7.5 pounds and measuring 20 ¾ inches.
