2 suspect arrested in deadly home invasion in Marion County

Two suspects are dead, two are arrested and a homeowner is in the hospital after a home invasion in Summerfield.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office said 19 year-old Robert John Hamilton and 22 year-old Seth Adam Rodriguez were arrested for home invasion with a firearm. Rodriguez is also charged with homicide.

Deputies said the four men tried to force their way into a home in the woods in the 14900 block of SE 32nd Court Road. The homeowner and the suspects exchanged gunfire when two suspects entered the home.

Suspect Kieth Jackson Jr., 21, died on scene. Officials said suspect 22 year-old Nigel Doyle died at the hospital. The homeowner was also shot and is in stable condition at the hospital.

The homeowner told deputies he vaguely remembered one of the suspect’s from a past Craig’s List transaction. Deputies said the two surviving suspects admitted to going to the victim’s house to steal marijuana and guns.

Rodriguez and Hamilton are in the Marion County Jail with no bond.
