2 shot in Lake County
ALTOONA, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - Deputies with the Lake County Sheriff's Office are searching for two suspects they said are connected to a shooting Thursday afternoon.
Two men were shot in the Ocala National forest around 1 p.m., according to officials. Fred Jones, the Public Information Officer with the Lake County Sheriff's Office, said a passerby was driving through when they noticed one victim.
Both victims were transported to the hospital, in stable condition.
Deputies said the suspects were seen in a small black SVU. It was unknown if they were shot inside the vehicle or near the vehicle, but both vehicles were at the same area at the time of the shooting.
Deputies hope the victims at the hospital can provide more information about a motive.
