OCOEE, Fla. - Two people were killed after their vehicle crashed into a tree and a brick wall early Saturday morning in Orange County, according to Ocoee Police.
Investigators said the crash occurred around 2:21 a.m. at the intersection of Ocoee Apopka Road and Summershade Drive, near Forest Brooke Estates. The vehicle, a silver Toyota Camry, was traveling northbound on Ocoee Apopka Rd. The vehicle left the roadway and impacted a tree and brick wall.
Ocoee Police Officers arrived on the scene and found the vehicle engulfed in flames. Initial attempts to extinguish the fire were unsuccessful. The Ocoee Fire Department arrived and extinguished the fire; however, the two occupants were found inside the vehicle and pronounced deceased.
The road was closed for several hours, and the severely damaged sedan was towed.
The driver has been identified as 22-year-old Alexis Craig of Apopka, and the passenger as 30-year-old Andre Johnson of Orlando.
