Man, woman hurt in shooting in Altamonte Springs, police say

The motive behind a Palm Bay shooting that left multiple people dead is still unknown.

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. - Two people were taken to the hospital Sunday evening following a shooting in Altamonte Springs, police said. 

The shooting happened shortly before 2:30 p.m. near 450 Douglas Avenue. 

A man, who had been shot in the hand, and a woman who had a gunshot wound to one of her legs, were both taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police. 

Detectives believe that a fight took place before the shooting. They are investigating the crime as a "targeted" and "isolated incident," officials said in a news release.
