18-year-old pedestrian killed in crash on International Speedway Boulevard
VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. - A pedestrian was struck and killed Saturday morning on International Speedway Boulevard near Red John Drive, according to authorities.
Florida Highway patrol responded to the incident around 12:52 a.m.
According to officials, the 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee was traveling eastbound on International Speedway Boulevard near Red John Drive on the outside lane.
The front of the vehicle struck an 18-year-old pedestrian and was pronounced dead at the scene.
"The driver and both passengers in the vehicle were not transported and remained on the scene," said Florida Highway Patrol officials.
The incident remains under investigation by law enforcement.
