1 dead, 1 injured in Sanford shootings
SANFORD, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Sanford police detectives say one man has died and another remains in critical condition following two shooting incidents early Wednesday evening.
Around 8 p.m., officers responded to a call of gun shots being fired at 818 E. 10th Street in Sanford. Upon arrival, officers found a 20-year-old man who had a wound. Moments later, there was a second call of a another man who had been shot in 1100 block of Willow Ave.
Both victims were transported to Central Florida Regional Hospital. The 20-year-old victim died at the hospital due to his injuries; the second victim remained in critical condition as of midnight Wednesday.
Investigators do believe the two shootings are related, but no other details were immediately released.
