SEEN ON GOOD DAY: Sweat Proof Shirts
Orlando, Fl. (FOX 35 WOFL) - From perspiration, to inspiration. David Schwartzberg and Jacob Boyer are the brains behind "DAVID HYDE APPAREL" featuring a new sweat proof, spill proof dress shirt for men. Their million dollar idea gives new meaning to "sweat equity!"
The duo says their shirts carry a one-two moisture wicking fabric on the inside and a spill proof solution on the outside.
"Where we come in is with our patent pending patch located on the underarms and the back. It's seamlessly stitched in so you can't really see the patch and it's double sided fabric, reveals David, so we integrated both the moisture wicking fabric on the inside and the hydrophobic solution on outside."
David and Jacob were brainstorming their big business idea long before completing their college degrees this summer at University of Central Florida in finance and marketing.
"We were applying for a patent before even registering to graduate," laughs Jacob.
David adds, "The best thing about this whole process is that we started in college, so all the mess ups, all the wrong things we were doing... it was in college."
And thanks to a successful KickStarter campaign they now have the funds to kick start manufacturing here in the U.S. and fill the first round of 300 orders.
Another goal for the UCF duo, getting some celebrity star power behind the brand. Watch the video to find out which A-List celebrity the two would love to see wearing their shirt.
