'Pay with GasBuddy' app feature touts savings at the pump

No need to pay full price at the pump. "All people will save!" That's what GasBuddy spokesperson, Allison Mac, says about the app's new feature "Pay with GasBuddy."

"You enroll for the program and you will never pay full price for gas ever again," Mac tells FOX 35.

Sound too good to be true, right?  Mac says there's no catch.

"It doesn't limit you to a particular brand and every time you use it, you will save a least five cents a gallon, and on the first purchase you'll actually be saving 15 cents off a gallon."

Once enrolled, your "Pay with GasBuddy" card links to your checking account.  Mac says the 17-year-old app's connections with users and gas stations around the country is what brought about the rewards program.

"We listened to our users and we have a lot of great relationships with a lot gas stations as well, and we thought why not take Gas Buddy to the next level?"

Mac says the new feature should save the average user $340 a year.
