Florida governor to forbid COVID-19 ‘vaccine passports’

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said Monday that he would issue an executive order forbidding local governments and businesses from requiring so-called "vaccine passports" to show proof that customers have been inoculated against the coronavirus.

Orange County mayor pleased with vaccine expansion

Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings said he is happy that the governor has announced an expansion of eligibility of the COVID-19 vaccine. So far, more than 63 percent of seniors in Orange County have gotten their vaccine and overall more than 17 percent of all Orange County residents have received the shot, health officials say.
