Heavy rain will soak Central Florida on Friday

Some strong storms are moving through Orlando as a system is expected to stall out over Central Florida. Heavy rain, lightning, and wind gusts are possible.

The FOX 35 Storm Team is tracking a line of strong storms on this Weather Impact Day.

The severe threat remains at "LEVEL 1" across the Central Peninsula, meaning the possibility for heavy rain and gusty winds.

The Orlando Metro and coastal counties will see a cold front slowing to a crawl through Friday morning.

As of right now, heavy rain and gusty winds appear to be the main impacts for the majority of the viewing area. The rain is likely to stick around on Friday with a lull possible for the afternoon, only to return Saturday with an increase of rain coverage.
