BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. - Update (Sept. 11): It appears SpaceX has delayed its Sunday flight to Tuesday, Sept. 13, where it will launch 54 Starlink satellites into space. The launch is scheduled for 10:10 p.m.
SpaceX launched its latest round of Starlink satellites -- 34 of them, in fact – and AST SpaceMobile’s BlueWalker 3 satellite into low-Earth orbit Saturday night from Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
The launch was initially scheduled for 9:10 p.m., but was delayed by 10 minutes due to weather.
It is the first of two planned launches SpaceX has scheduled over the weekend. A second launch is scheduled for Sunday night at 10:43 p.m., also from Kennedy Space Center, according to the space center's website. SpaceX is expected to launch more of its internet-network satellites into space.
