SpaceX launches Falcon 9 from Cape Canaveral carrying Starlink satellites
LAKE MARY, Fla. - SpaceX on Friday launched another Falcon 9 rocket from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. Its payload included 53 Starlink satellites that were delivered into low-Earth orbit. Starlink is SpaceX's satellite internet constellation mesh that will provide satellite internet access coverage to 36 countries.
The first stage booster supporting this mission previously launched GPS III Space Vehicle 04, GPS III Space Vehicle 05, Inspiration4, Ax-1, Nilesat 301, and three Starlink missions. Following stage separation, Falcon 9’s first stage returned to Earth and landed on the A Shortfall of Gravitas droneship stationed in the Atlantic Ocean.
