Orlando weather: Warm weather dominates Florida, cooler temps possible for Christmas

Florida is experiencing unseasonably warm weather today, with temperatures running significantly higher than this time yesterday.

A steady flow of warm air off the Atlantic Ocean is driving the increase, accompanied by gusty winds ranging from 20 to 25 mph.

Low clouds are being transported across the state from the marine environment, adding to the warm and humid conditions.

At the beaches, large breakers and dangerous waves are expected throughout the weekend, creating hazardous conditions for swimmers and surfers.

The warm pattern is forecast to continue into next week, with high temperatures holding steady in the 80s.

However, the long-range outlook for Christmas week suggests a shift. Forecast models are hinting at cooler-than-normal temperatures, potentially dropping into the 60s during the holiday.

While this forecast is still 12 days out and subject to change, Floridians may want to keep an eye on updates for the latest developments.
