LAS VEGAS (AP) - Authorities in Las Vegas say a Florida couple was killed in a motorcycle crash on a curve of a scenic desert road near the Lake Mead reservoir behind Hoover Dam.
The Nevada Highway Patrol says a 59-year-old man and a 51-year-old woman were pronounced dead at the scene about 5:15 p.m. Tuesday.
The Clark County coroner identified the woman as Sherry Shive of West Palm Beach, Florida.
The man wasn't immediately identified, but the highway patrol said he was also from West Palm Beach.
Crash investigators determined that both were thrown from the Harley-Davidson when it went off Northshore Road near Echo Wash.
