Body near edge of retention pond identified

A body that was found earlier this month near the edge of a retention pond has been identified.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office says that on July 9th, their deputies responded to a call of a deceased person about 30 feet from the Landstar BLVD in the water near the edge of a retention pond. The person was obviously in a state of decomposition and was spotted upon arrival.

Detectives say, as of July 17th, that the body has been identified as 24-year-old Mohamed Saddam. He was reported missing out of Osceola County on July 5th. No foul play is suspect and the cause of death is still pending further studies.
